Durr e Shahwar is a drama which takes us to a journey of love and patience. It is a journey where most women relate her marriage life with Durr e Shahwar's life struggle. This story is beautifully juggles between the present and the past life of Durr e Shahwar and Mansoor. Sandanah and Haider's relationship depicts the present situation while Durr e Shahwar and Mansoor played their bitter experience of past.
Durr e Shahwar belongs to a wealthy and well mannered family. She had all the comforts, love and luxurious of life. She was young , beautiful and educated. Her personality attracts every one because she was polite and soft spoken . Durr e Shahwar was too much attached with her family especially with her mother and sister. But she had a very strong bond and understanding with her Abba and had blind faith on him. When her father chose Mansoor for her would be groom as he had low financial status but she accepted this decision without any doubt.
Shahwar 's dream of happy married life turned into nightmare when Mansoor 's family treating her like ill mannered ways. Then she assumed that Mansoor also didn't paying attention to her. This makes her sad and she pretends like she has no feelings . She did all the work at home by herself and gave all her dowry to her NANND on her wedding. Only Maqsood and her Abba's letters gave a reason to live in this situation. Whenever she was sad she wrote a letter to her Abba and told him everything which made her sad. She felt relaxed after writing because only letters were the communication way with her family. Maqsood always gave her good advice. She felt very comfortable with him while talking and telling him about her problems.
With the passage of time Shahwar got her place in Mansoor 's eye and also his family. She was treated like BARI BHABBI who has a very important part in family. This is just because Her ABBA 's continues support and her faith on him. Shahwar's relation with her ABBA was the high light of the show. No doubt this relation was full of love, respect, admiration and blind faith on each other. But the saddest thing is that her ABBA blamed himself because he did not chose a perfect person for her daughter. He was proud of his daughter but ashamed of himself.
A woman is a good actress.... Life was full of troubles for Shahwaar but she always pretended so to her children . That is why Sandanah idealized her father a perfact person and admired her mother having a perfect hubby in her life. But she did not know about the reality of her father and mother 's life. At last Shahwar told her about her father 's behavior in the past just to save her daughter 's marriage from apart.

Now days we have so busy life, that we have no time and patience to work towards building our relationship. We all look for an easy way out . We have to work on building our relationship with love, respect and understanding.
In the end I must say the credit goes to the Writer, Directer and the entire Cast who gave a life in this drama with their flawless performance. Samina perzada and Sanam Baloach played their awesome performance. I really love both of them for their role in the drama. Qavi Khan, Mikal Zulfiqar , Noman Ijaz, Nadia Jamil all played thier besT. But Muhammad Ahmed won the Title . I gave him full marks because of his emotional acting and you will feel the pain of a father after watching this drama on your screen.
